🏠 Adoption & Purchasing

How much do your kittens cost?

Our American Shorthair kittens are priced at $1,500 each. This includes TICA registration, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, a health certificate, and a 1-year health guarantee.

Is there a deposit required?

Yes, we require a $300 non-refundable deposit to reserve a kitten. This deposit is applied toward the total purchase price. The remaining balance is due before pickup or shipping.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, bank transfers, and cash for local pickups. We do not accept personal checks.

How do I reserve a kitten?

Fill out our contact form or email us directly. Once we review your application and match you with a kitten, we'll send payment instructions for the deposit to secure your reservation.

Can I visit to see the kittens before purchasing?

We offer video calls to meet your kitten virtually. In-person visits may be arranged for serious buyers after a deposit is placed, to protect the health of our kittens.

🏥 Health & Veterinary

What health guarantee do you offer?

All our kittens come with a 1-year genetic health guarantee. If a kitten is diagnosed with a genetic condition within the first year, we offer a replacement kitten or partial refund.

Are the kittens vaccinated?

Yes! All kittens receive age-appropriate vaccinations including FVRCP (feline distemper combo). We provide a complete vaccination record for your vet to continue the schedule.

Are kittens dewormed?

Yes, all kittens are dewormed multiple times before going to their new homes. We use veterinarian-recommended deworming protocols.

Are your kittens tested for diseases?

Our breeding cats are tested for FeLV, FIV, and common genetic conditions. All kittens receive a health examination by a licensed veterinarian before leaving.

Are kittens spayed/neutered before going home?

Pet kittens are sold with a spay/neuter contract. Depending on age, they may be altered before pickup or you'll receive a contract requiring the procedure by 6 months of age.

What if my kitten gets sick after I bring it home?

Contact us immediately. We're here to support you and can advise on next steps. Our health guarantee covers genetic conditions, and we'll work with you on any health concerns.

✈️ Shipping & Delivery

Do you ship kittens?

Yes! We ship to all 50 U.S. states via pet-safe airline cargo or ground transport. We also offer personal delivery for an additional fee.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs range from $250-$450 depending on your location and method. This includes an airline-approved carrier, health certificate, and travel supplies.

Is it safe to ship a kitten?

Absolutely. We only use pet-safe, climate-controlled shipping. Kittens must be at least 10 weeks old and cleared by a vet before flying. We've shipped hundreds of kittens safely.

Can I pick up my kitten in person?

Yes! Local pickup is available and encouraged. We'll schedule a time for you to meet your kitten and go over care instructions in person.

What does my kitten travel with?

Your kitten comes with an airline-approved carrier, health certificate, vaccination records, a blanket with familiar scents, food sample, and care instructions.

American Shorthairs come in over 80 recognized colors and patterns! Popular varieties include Silver Classic Tabby, Brown Tabby, Blue (gray), Cream, White, Black, and various bicolor combinations.

How big do American Shorthairs get?

American Shorthairs are medium to large cats. Males typically weigh 11-15 pounds, while females weigh 8-12 pounds. They have a muscular, athletic build.

What is the temperament of an American Shorthair?

American Shorthairs are known for being gentle, friendly, and adaptable. They're great with children and other pets, playful but not hyperactive, and enjoy both playtime and cuddles.

How long do American Shorthairs live?

American Shorthairs are known for their longevity! With proper care, they typically live 15-20 years. They're one of the healthiest purebred cat breeds.

Are American Shorthairs good with children?

Absolutely! American Shorthairs are patient, gentle, and tolerant, making them excellent family cats. They enjoy interactive play and are sturdy enough for active households.

Do American Shorthairs get along with other pets?

Yes, they generally do very well with other cats and cat-friendly dogs. Their easy-going nature makes introductions smoother. We recommend slow, supervised introductions.

How much grooming do American Shorthairs need?

American Shorthairs are low-maintenance! Weekly brushing is sufficient to remove loose hair and keep their coat healthy. They shed moderately year-round with heavier shedding in spring.

What should I feed my American Shorthair kitten?

We recommend high-quality kitten food (wet and dry) until age 1, then transitioning to adult food. We'll send your kitten home with a sample of their current food and feeding guidelines.

Do American Shorthairs need a lot of exercise?

They're moderately active and enjoy interactive play sessions. Provide toys, scratching posts, and climbing structures. 15-20 minutes of active play daily keeps them healthy and happy.

Should I keep my American Shorthair indoors?

We strongly recommend keeping your cat indoors or providing a safe outdoor enclosure (catio). Indoor cats live longer, healthier lives and avoid risks like traffic, predators, and diseases.

📜 Registration & Documentation

Are your kittens TICA registered?

Yes! All our kittens come with TICA (The International Cat Association) registration. You'll receive registration papers to transfer ownership to your name.

What documents will I receive with my kitten?

You'll receive: TICA registration papers, vaccination records, health certificate, deworming history, microchip information, health guarantee, care guide, and feeding instructions.

Can I breed my kitten?

Pet-quality kittens are sold with a spay/neuter contract and are not for breeding. If you're interested in breeding rights, please contact us to discuss show/breeder quality kittens.
